Chief Operating Officer
Stange joined Resort Collection in 2009 after serving 11 years with Intrawest, based out of Destin, Florida. He served as Senior Vice President of Intrawest Hospitality Management, the breadth of this operation spanned over 20 properties throughout North America and Europe. Prior to the SVP role, Stange served 8 years as Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort’s President and Chief Operating Officer, and was part of the Intrawest Executive Management Team. Stange began his hospitality career with Marco Beach Ocean Resort on Marco Island, Florida. He spent 11 years in leadership with Renaissance Hotels, which included management positions with Vinoy Renaissance St. Petersburg Resort & Golf Club and with Renaissance Atlanta Waverly Hotel. Stange, a graduate of Florida State University’s Dedman School of Hospitality, has gained over 35 years of experience holding executive level positions throughout his career.
Vice President of Business Development
Paul Wohlford has been with Resort Collection since 2007. Prior to joining the company Wohlford was the Vice President Sales & Marketing for the Sandestin Beach and Golf Resort in Sandestin, Florida. Before relocating to Florida, Wohlford spend nine years at the Renaissance Esmeralda in Palm Springs, CA; Hyatt in Hilton Head, SC; Park Hyatt in San Francisco, CA and Hyatt in Knoxville, TN in various sales and marketing roles. Wohlford served as the chairman for the Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce, currently serves as the president of the Onsite Property Management Association, and maintains an active presence in the community. Wohlford is a native of Tennessee and graduate of the University of Tennessee.
Vice President of Association Management
Tom Sparks has a 17-year history with the Edgewater Beach & Golf Resort, having served most recently as General Manager. Sparks is a long-standing member of the area’s hospitality industry. In 1981, he relocated from Fort Payne, Alabama to Panama City Beach where he and his family owned and operated a beach hotel property. He became active in the Bay County Hospitality Association (which later became The Greater Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce), serving as President and on its Board of Directors. Sparks was a founding director of The Greater Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce and has served as President of that organization as well. Along with other area hospitality leaders, he was instrumental in creating the present-day Tourist Development Council.
Vice President of Real Estate and Commercial Leasing
Ric Holt has been a full-time licensed real estate agent for over 28 years. He is the VP of Real Estate and Commercial Leasing for Resort Collection and he also serves as the managing broker for RC Real Estate Group. Experienced in property management, leasing, residential and commercial sales, he has also been the broker/owner of a national real estate franchise for over 12 years. Holt has been a real estate instructor for over 10 years. On both the state and national levels he has trained agents in such subjects as real estate negotiations, marketing, and market trends.
Vice President of Finance
Tara Wilder joined Resort Collection in July 2010, as Director of Finance. Tara was promoted to Vice President of Finance in December 2015, where she manages a staff of 11 and oversees all aspects of finance. She has extensive knowledge in all disciplines of finance and controls. Tara previously worked at the Jacksonville Marriott for 18 years before relocating to work at the Bay Point Marriott in Panama City, Florida, in 2003. Tara then expanded her financial experience with several non-hospitality endeavors before returning to her true passion with Resort Collection. She has been instrumental in generating and maintaining necessary controls as the company experiences growth and development. Her ability to take on challenges and manage a multitude of tasks is rare in the industry, and she delivers with a unique sense of humor. Tara has a heart for serving, planning to bring Resort Collection to the forefront in the Bay County community. Tara and husband Todd Wilder have two daughters; Taylor, a student at UWF, and Tori, who is in middle school.
Chief Technology Officer
Ken Floyd joined Resort Collection in 2013 and is responsible for all functions relating to technology and engineering. Floyd has amassed more than 25 years of IT experience, 18 years of which were in broad-based management for large corporate environments. Floyd worked as Corporate Director of Technology for Divi Resorts and was responsible for the overall direction of all IT functions associated within the company’s US and offshore locations. He led the Technology Group for The Cliffs Communities, a multifaceted real estate, development, club and hospitality organization with 48 entities and three international properties. He served as Vice President of Technology for Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort and led the Intrawest Hospitality Technology Group responsible for multiple properties across North America.
Vice President of Human Resources
Since 1995, Christy has held HR roles in Bay County with companies such as Boardwalk Beach Resort and Bay Point Marriott, as well as Dale E. Peterson Vacations in Destin. Most recently, she worked in HR for the Bay County Board of County Commissioners before joining the Resort Collection family. Christy is a graduate of Johnson and Wales University in Charleston, South Carolina, with a degree in hotel/restaurant management. Her wealth of knowledge and years of experience in the HR and hospitality fields bring an invaluable addition to the Resort Collection team.
Vice President of Lodging
Herndon comes to Resort Collection from Olympic Valley, California where she was the general manager for The Village at Squaw Valley, a 290-room hotel-condominium located in a four-season mountain resort. While Herndon oversaw all aspects of rental and property management for The Village, she improved employee satisfaction by 31 percent across all departments, and guest satisfaction by 15 percent, which increased the number of repeat guests. Prior to her work in California, Herndon worked for Intrawest as general manager of the Residence Inn by Marriott Sandestin at Grand Boulevard in Miramar Beach, Florida. Herndon is a graduate of Florida State University
Vice President of Food & Beverage
Prior to joining Resort Collection, Chee served as vice president of food and beverage, and resort executive chef for the 2,400-acre Sandestin® Golf and Beach Resort where he oversaw all aspects of food services. In his position as vice president of food and beverage, he directed a management staff of fifteen while overseeing a total seasonal staff of more than 300 throughout the resort’s banquets, restaurants, and clubs. Chee’s culinary expertise has been harnessed through his more than three decades of industry experience working for top hospitality brands in the U.S., Canada, and the Bahamas.
