May 20, 2012

The Resort Collection of Panama City Beach announces the management acquisition of the Gulf-front resort Shores of Panama and its amenities. The newly acquired property is a gorgeous 23-story luxury resort offering a family-friendly destination to visitors of Panama City Beach, renowned for its sugar-white sands and emerald waters. The Resort Collection will be the on-site management company for Shores of Panama and will direct daily operations for the rental program and club facilities.

Shores of Panama boasts 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom units and suites, world-class pools and spa services, poolside services, and ample meeting space-all with a panoramic view of its spectacular location.

“Shores of Panama is one of the premier products of Panama City Beach and a great addition to our collection,” said Mike Stange, chief operating officer of The Resort Collection. “This property is luxury at its finest, and we are confident that its addition will enhance our reputation for offering an unrivaled, quality vacation to our guests.”

Ryan Jones of Santa Rosa Beach will serve as the new General Manager of Shores of Panama.

“Ryan brings over fifteen years of experience in the hospitality industry to his new position with us at Shores of Panama,” said Stange. “We are thrilled to have his expertise in acquiring a new Resort Collection property.”

Jones has management experience with many notable private country clubs, such as Stone Creek Golf Club, Reynolds Plantation and Callaway Gardens. He also previously worked as Director of Private Clubs and Director of Restaurants and Bar Operations for Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort for three and a half years before moving to his last position as The Resort Collection’s Director of Food and Beverage.

Jones joins The Resort Collection of Panama City Beach’s robust staff of 350. The property management company, with a 25-year history, has club and HOA management divisions that represent five additional beachfront resorts, a championship golf course, a shopping center and a real estate organization. Initially managing 175 units on the Shores of Panama property, the Resort Collection has plans for exponential growth through the addition of more units and the upgrading of existing services. Their devoted management team is on-site for any requests or questions guests may have.
